Week one complete!

Week one has been a great success! Walking through one of the most gorgeous national parks Australia has to offer and lush Gippsland farm lands has been indescribable. Honestly the photos I captured do not do justice for the scenic beauty this section of Victoria has to offer.

Tidal river is the closest place to Wilsons Promontory for accommodation (cabins, food, water, and power). It is bird paradise at this location and they sell the BEST hot chocolate known to man (okay maybe tastes a little better when you are walking in 10-degree temperatures for 8 hours straight). Also, the surprise drop-offs from Scotty in the Wandering Minds support vehicle didn’t hurt either!

Still a 10/10 hot choccy rating from me

This is one of my all time favourite beaches located In Wilsons Prom. Squeaky Beach is a stunning stretch of white sand and large boulder formations throughout. The water is crystal clear and at this time of year f****** freezing. Running straight of the Bass Straight even with it being one of the most gorgeous beaches I’ve ever walked on, there is no way in hell I would be tempted into taking a winter dip !

A little Snap shot of Whiskey Bay.

From Wilson Promotory I treKked through the small country towns of Forster, Welshpool and Port Alberton. This stretch of lush Gippsland farmland filled my days with dusty country backroads and acres and acres of dairy cow farmland.

Week one and 169 km covered ! Week two begins on 90 mile beach, Australia second largest beach stretching over a 144 km !
